This week, I was a guest on the Transitioning Aging Parents radio show. The host, Dale Carter, and I had a great conversation that answered the question “What’s My Role as a Caregiver when my parent moves in Assisted Living?”
We discussed the concept of family caregivers remaining as the main advocate for their parent(s) when they move into Assisted Living. In addition, we considered the concept of the family caregiver and professional caregiver creating a “co-partnering” caregiver relationship where they work together to furnish the best care for their parent/resident.
